As is the case on many of my forays on the western side of the Susquehanna, I stopped on the return route home last Sunday at the
Conowingo Dam and hydro plant in Maryland. Not only is it excellent for fishing and eagle-watching, its restrooms, water, vending machines, shaded pavilion, picnic tables and scenery make it a great motorcycle rest stop. (It was even better before 9/11 when the dam's catwalk was open to the public). It's rare to stop there and not find another motorcycle or three there.

Thanks, Doug. A future deluxe tour from www.rollingthruamerica.com may stop here next fall as part of long PA Dutch tour.
